This month, I took time away from the studio to celebrate an important event - my 40th birthday!

With all the hustle and bustle at this time of year, I have to remind myself to take some time out to recharge. So last night, I had a relaxing soak in the bath. While the bath was filling, I took a few minutes to exfoliate, buffing in upward circular motions to help boost my circulation. Then I popped in a few bath bombs in the tub and spent the next while letting the peace and tranquillity wash over me.

Celebrating Nature Conservation Day, July 28th at Hawthorn Handmade Skincare. The Hawthorn Studio is surrounded by farmland rich in biodiversity. Growing up surrounded, I always had an awareness of the importance of conserving our natural heritage. This set me on the path that would one day lead to the launch of Hawthorn Skincare.

We are celebrating World Bee Day on May 20th. Bees along with other pollinators sustain our ecosystems and produce our natural resources by helping plants reproduce. One of our favourite bee-friendly plants AND skincare ingredients is Borage.
